Dr. Katindi Sivi: Nairobi, Kenya; Dr. Katindi Sivi is an African Futurist with a background in Strategic Leadership and Strategic Foresight, Organizational Development, and International Relations. She works with individuals and organizations to unpack complexity and make sense of future possibilities for strategic change. She founded LongView Consult - a socio-economic research, policy analysis, foresight strategy, and training firm in Kenya. Dr. Sivi is currently the lead consultant. Before that, she had served as programs director at Society for International Development (SID) and as head of Futures at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Dr. Sivi has successfully conducted groundbreaking research, policy analysis, and foresight projects, published books, and book chapters. Her areas of work include youth demographics and employment; women in Africa; drylands agriculture; civil society organizations; extractives (minerals); citizen civic engagement; family planning; elections; and livelihoods. The work has contributed immensely to the conceptualization of various national policies, and influenced organizational strategies both nationally and internationally, including the multiple boards she serves in.
